Default Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett Has A Broken Left Foot

Mallett breaks foot; out 3-4 months

Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett suffered a broken left foot during conditioning drills Wednesday and will miss all of spring practice.

Mallett's recovery is expected to last three to four months, according to Arkansas' medical staff, which would bring him back in plenty of time for the start of preseason practice in August.

Mallett led the SEC with 3,624 passing yards and 30 touchdowns last season, both Arkansas records.

Not a big issue if he can recover in time for preseason. Only concern is if he re-injures it. I've heard a lot of buzz about this Mallett guy and how he's going to be the best QB in the SEC now that Teblow is gone.

They are talking about Mallett being the top QB prospect for the 2011 draft.

It will either be Mallett or Jake Locker whom could be next year's Jevan Snead.
