Default KenJen is back!

Did anyone watch the end of the Jeopardy! season in June??

The last time I watched Jeopardy! regularly was 1999 until the start of May. 2 weeks after that, Ken Jennings came on the show and has never left, winning like 39 or 40 straight games until the end of the season in June. He comes back to defend his title, looking to add onto the $1.3 million he's already won on the show.

If you guys weren't on the KenJen hype, really, watch today, this guy is AMAZING. One time he rolled off 12 straight answers (2.5 categories!) to start the show before any of the other two contestants even had the chance to buzz in!! The real key to Jeopardy! is buzzing in at exactly the right time 'cuz if you buzz in too early it blocks you and you won't be able to buzz in... and if you buzz in too late, well, you're too late Kenn knows everything from music to theatre to English to literature to history to techy stuff to current affairs... everything under the sun. Jeopardy! is easily the hardest game show. There's no luck involved. It's all skill and quick thinking and KenJen has it all.

I'm a huge fan

Anyway I urge you to tune in tonight on Jeopardy! if you haven't seen this freak as the new season begins and he continues his roll.

Seems like the last season just ended and he was making the rounds on the late night talk shows. Anyway, he has capitivated my interest and made me and my Dad watch just for kicks. He is truly a machine.

Final Jeopardy! today: KenJen $30,000+.

2nd place: $5000.

Easy win yet again.

The secret is actually on Jeopardy!.com. They post the contestants for the week each Monday. So you can know in advance how KenJen does if you want. Basically if they have 11 players mentioned, that's KenJen + 2 contestants each day x 5 == 11. Which means KenJen sweeps the week with the possible exception of Friday. So, I already know whether or not he wins all the rest of this week 'cuz I like spoilers but if you want to check the site to know how he does the rest of this week, you can do this too

The fact you know that Lee is pretty perceptive and a little scary at the same time. Then again, I've actually been to a taping of Jeopardy, which is pretty weird in itself.

This guy is a wealth of information but now we're starting to see a "Tiger Woods" type of intimidation (of course back when he was winning majors left & right) where his opponents look like they already lost at times.

Unbelievable...

Sources are leaking as to a possible loss.

I won't post anything here, but even ESPN.com has a Page 2 article about it.

You just know Kornheiser will be all over that on PTI this afternoon.

The whole thing is rigged.

It's a stroke of genius.

A devious plot drummed up to drive interest in Jeopardy sky high .......and drive ratings even higher.

Show sponsors are laughin' at the sheep all the way to da bank.

Cynical Mind

That guy is amazing... the only reason I've actually watched Jeopardy in years. (and I'm not the only one; ratings WAY up)

I can't believe that it is rigged. Not possible. How would he be displayed the answers??... even if he were given the clues beforehand, he'd still have to memorize about 125 answers per DAY which is impossible. Just admit that the guy is a genius!!

There were the same consipracy theories about John Carpenter, the first Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? millionaire. His questions were somewhat easier than other contestants', maybe, but he still is just a brain.

People are just intimidated by intelligence methinks.

I'm going with Lee on this. Sheesh, cynicism everywhere I turn.

And there's epsecially no way John Carpenter's win on Millionaire was rigged. His questions were so easy (What president appeared on "Laugh-In" as the MILLION DOLLAR question? No American older than 25 doesn't know that), that no rigging would be necessary for anyone to win. That's why the questions got a lot harder after that.

Finally I see a Ken Jennings thread!

I've been following the run since day one and there is no doubt about it, he's amazing. I've been watching Jeopardy for years, which really is the hardest game (by far) than any other T.V show. Mastering the buzzer is a big part of the game, but if you don't know the answer that doesn't matter. Ken has proved he knows EVERYTHING.

Read somewhere that Ken finally lost after winning 70-something episodes. That episode should be interesting!
