The Expos' did the right thing because the fans stopped showing up and destroyed the revenue. I really don't think MLB could have been the owners too much longer.

I'd argue that the Expos did the right thing because MLB destoryed the team. I really don't think ANY of the 3,000 regular fans could have supported them much longer.

I guess it's a chicken-and-egg thing.

I'd like to see the Expos name dropped, too. I personally think Senators is a better name, and very fitting. I am pleased about this as when I'm not in college, I'm basically a resident of suburban D.C.

Senators isn't very original, it's what the sports team is called in Canada's nation captial. Why not "The Representatives" Hahahaha I crack myself up sometimes.

Do something new. Senators has been done already. I don't know if it is true or not, but I heard that Rangers franchise owns the rights to the team name and if new ownership wants to use the Senators name they will have to buy it off the Rangers.

I also see the team takes a hit losing GM Omar Minaya to the Mets.

There is talk that the team will be called the "Grays" in memory of the Homestead Grays of the old Negro Leagues. It would be nice to acknowledge the struggles the Negro Leaguers had to suffer through for the love of the game.
Senators, Nationals, or Grays, any would be fine with me.

I am sad to see another Canadien team to leave i was hoping they would go to Vancouver! They deserve a team there! The US are trying to take away hockey (STRIKE) by doing the same thing they did in baseball, go on strike so Canadien teams loose money! Well guess what America its not going to work this time because by having a strike they are helping Canadian teams! Anyways back to Baseball! I feel bad for all Expo fans to see there team go to a crapy city and i feel bad for the Expo fans that live in Montreal, they knew that there team wasn't good enought but they still went out and supported them!!
