This might seem bold but Santana and Radke have held their own against the Bronx Bombers meaning two starts each in the series.

I'm very afraid of the Yank's starting pitchers. Twins in 6

The beauty, or flaw, of a best-of-5 is you only need two hot pitchers. And guess what? We have that. Like Habs Fan said, Santana and Radke have fared well against the Bronx Bombers.

doublee .... sorry I forgot. I realized it once I logged off but by then I made my mistake LOL. I say the Twins in 4.

Yeah Purple, I really think that Minnesota's strong starting two plus their very adept bullpen will carry them past the Yankees.

Plus ..... the Twinkies play awesome D ..... Jones, Guzman, Koskie, Hunter ..... any one of these guys are capable of making virtually any play. This should be a huge assest to the Twins' pitching staff. I can't wait ...... and to think the Twins were scheduled to be eliminated a few years ago .... LOL.

I like that people aren't picking the Yankees. Put the pressure on everyone else.

Yankees in 4. The Yankees swept Minnesota last week at Yankee Stadium. Minnesota's bridge from Starter-to-Nathan is a very unstable one, something that could hurt them against a team that has comeback 60+ teams this season to win games. Not to mention that the Yankees have faired well against the Twins' all star closer this season.

Alex, good points .... and over the season the Yanks would do much better than the Twins. But to unearth an old post, PurpleReign makes a great point about a 5 game series where they will certainly see Santana twice unless they sweep and I don't see that happening.

Yanks, Cards, Astros it doesn't matter ..... Santana has dominated everyone he has pitched against since the All-Star break ........ and I don't see him stopping anytime soon.

Though I agree ..... if anybody beats up on Santana ..... it would be the Yanks. Should be interesting.

Yankees go as far as the bats will take them. Let's face it the bridge from Yanks starter to Rivera has not exactly been the model of stability this season either. The only area where the Yanks have a huge edge it is on offense this year.

And if Santana wins two the Twins still have to win one more. I know the Yankees pitching isn't as good as it has been in the past but it's not bad enough that the Twins will feast on it.

Here's some food for thought as we await the series start:

1996 Yankees team ERA: 4.96
2004 Yankees team ERA: 4.84

1996 Yankees postseason ERA: 5.03

I'd love to see the Twins win... but it's hard to go against the Yankees with their offence. It should be a GREAT series.
