Default 2005 Schedules

How do you guys feel about your team's schedules?
The Bucs have a fairly easy home schedule (they only finished above 4 teams last year). But their away games are pretty tough.

@ Minnesota, Green Bay, NY Jets, San Fransico, Atlanta, New Orleans, Carolina, New England(12/17).

I'm just happy that the Skins are coming to town in december instead of the thanksgiving day weekend when I'll be on vacation. 23 years of following the team and finally I get to see them live.

Well, I'm happy the Packers get 3 of their last 4 at home (that never happens) and that the final game is Seattle in Green Bay. Also happy that they get the Vikes immediately after the bye again. Also happy to get the AFC North this year.

Not happy about playing the Falcons in Atlanta (darn domes).

Overall, i'm pleased and optimistic

Saw the Atls schedule for the 1st time today. In the 1st 6 weeks they have Philly, New England, @ Seatle, Minn., and NYJ. Not good. The Foulcons could be 2-4 before Halloween. Scary.

Hehe...I read somewhere - oh yeah it was Josh Elliot "O.C. boy"'s blog...that every team thinks they can win the Super Bowl when the schedule comes out.

'72 Dolphins...holding their breath and wanting to pop the cork again.

The Giants are heading to San Diego...Eli Eli OHH!

YankeeDoodle, one question:

Who's going to block for Eli?

For the first time in more than 30 years, the Dolphins will not appear on national television in 2005; the Titans were also left off the national TV slate entirely, while the Buccaneers got only one Saturday game in December, at New England on December 17 (in Week 16 most of the games are on Saturday, December 24 instead of Sunday, which is Christmas this year, pursuant to NFL policy when Christmas falls on a Sunday, which last happened in 1994).

Every other team will be on ABC and/or ESPN at least once.

Now, isn't that the question!

The Giants have only three draft picks this year (from the Eli trade, of course). So yeah...I have my copy of Sporting News 50-page draft coverage (frankly, I'm sick of it)...they actually wrote a 700-page BOOK. And this is a *bad* year??

Eli has a quicker release than Warner did, so that should help him...except at times he seemed to rush his passes (dude looked like he knew the Mongol Hord was coming after him and didn't want to be mashed potatoes).

They can always get someone in free agnecy; actually, I read somewhere (oh yeah it was TSN), that offensive linemen are cheap...it's the coach that gets all the dough. Would anyone want to partcipate in Camp Coughlin, though?

BTW, the Falcons are on MNF three times, which is second-most all-time. But if Vick is ill, I doubt anyone wants to see "the Matt Schuab" experience. And ABC better find some ratings fast, because every year they're dipping lower and lower.

You know a network is DESPARATE, for lack of better words, when they contemplate having an *announcer* dropping the towel...

Welcome, YankeeDoodle! Glad to have you, stick around.

Billy D already commented on the Packers' schedule, so I'll just add that I'm happy they are on national TV the maximum amount of times (MNF and SNF). Even though people predict them to finally fall year after year, they keep winning their division.

You win your division by seven games one year and then you get all three of your second meetings within your division at home the following year?

Well that's the situation the Eagles find themselves in.
