Default Tom Brady wins MVP

Shocking, absolutely shocking...

Does anyone else suspect that Tom Brady may have sold his soul to devil??? I can't imagine one person I'd rather be...

I'll take it one step further...

He was a BACK-UP in college for 2 years to Brian Griese...

What is more shocking (to me) is that he got 49 out of 50 votes??? Seriously.. I'm hearing it was Madden that voted for Favre?
The guys leads his team to the 1st ever 16-0 undefeated regular season in NFL history.
He throws 50 TD's to break the single season TD record.

Explain how Favre gets a vote over him??? If anything, give that vote to Moss?? That is what baffles me....

You had me until here.

I think Tom Brady was without question the clear-cut winner for MVP based off of the amazing numbers he put him and for being the leader of an undefeated, record-breaking team. But while Randy Moss had a fabulous year, he benefited greatly from his quarterback, his coaches, and the entire offensive system and scheme that the New England Patriots elected to run this season.

Brady led this team, so he would get my vote. But I think I would rank Brett Favre and what he accomplished in Green Bay this season ahead of Randy Moss's performance throughout the year (although, Moss would probably be in my top-five for MVP candidates).

I should make a couple quick points.... I think everyone is entitled to their opinion and vote so I really cannot fault anyone for the way they voted. And also, I don't get a vote so my opinion doens't really mean much!!

Ok, but as far as Favre over Moss... that I do not understand. If the MVP is based purely on numbers (as we've seen over the years) then wouldn't Moss get votes over Favre? Favre did not break any records (season records that is - not career) or lead the lead in any categories in his position???

Funny story. On New Year's Eve, some drunk guy ran up to me on the street and started shouting "Hey, it's Tom Brady!!!" and was following me saying that. I wish, but took it as a compliment ... heh heh.

I'm not surprised Favre got a vote. It's called the Trent Dilfer factor. It's how I compare QB's on different teams fairly. Which team would suffer the greatest loss if their QB was replaced by Trent Dilfer?(actually my 3rd favorite QB ever)

I'm not saying the vote was right, but MVP is Most Valuable Player, not Best Numbers Player, and even though Tom was the obvious BNP, I think that there's at least an argument for Favre for MVP

Toby, then why hasn't Brady had such years in the past. Brady benefited from Moss.
