Well, I've been in all the states you mentioned above, Buckeye, and would have to place your current state WAY at the bottom!!!!

New York baby! I've visited many cities and NY is the place to be. You've got the city that defined "city life", you have high class beaches (Hamptons)that are only 2 hours drive from the city, you have the mountains for skiing which are only about 4 or 5 hours drive away. You have the diversity of ethnic cultures and can enjoy the various foods offered.

Plus we have 2 baseball teams, 2 football teams, 2 hockey teams, 2 basketball teams (you can kind of count in the NJ Nets). Seeing a sports venue in this city is no problem at all.

Har-dee-har-har!!!

Actually, the stench would get worse walking into Alabama or Georgia, don't you know!!!

But you would know all about living in stench, right Buckeye? Something about living in the Rustbelt must be very appealing to your senses, isn't it?!!

I love Alabama. I'm originally from South Carolina. Alabama is full of woods, nice beaches, beautiful women, great freshwater fishing and saltwater fishing. Also we have nice nice gardens and old antebellum homes.

There's just something special about living in New York. New York City feels like the center of the country, there's so much to do and see. New York is full of diversity as we all know, and you can find a little bit of everything here. Beaches, mountains, big cities, etc. It's hard to describe, but I love living in New York.

California has more good lookin women than the rest of the states combined. We have everything NY has (only our mountains and beaches are better). We have everything as well as the best weather. I will tell Bama that there is nothing quite like a "southern belle" and well, Boston does live in Hawaii.

California

PROs: great-looking women, nice weather, lots of sports, In-N-Out Burger
CONs: high taxes (7.75% sales), metrosexuality, smog, traffic

Predictably, most people are picking their own state.

Of the states I've been in, I'd pick....Ohio. But I haven't been to too many states. Most states are pretty much alike these days. The ONLY reason I'm giving the nod to Ohio is because I think we kind of get along better here than in other states. I feel the "melting pot" concept is Ohio in action...urban Ohio, at least. Growing up, I was often the only or one of the few white kids in my class, but it was never an issue...and believe me when I say I managed to get along well without particularly trying to fit in with any clique, racial or otherwise, that could've made my life easier. I've lived in "flop houses" where I was the only white guy living there and again, no problems. But, I have friends who live in other states (I'm not even gonna say where, because SCMB people live there, and I'm not trying to put anyone on the defensive...) who have described their surroundings as "racial powder kegs."

If we want to open this question up to other countries, though...oh God, get me back to the Netherlands. You know how a lot "patriots" tell dissenters of the current administration that "if they hate America so much, they can leave, I'll even buy your plane ticket?"

Well, please do. For my wife and I. If you can hook us up with plane tickets, a job, and some sort of residency/citizenry status that will allow us to stay long-term, then yes. Hell, I'll find my own job...so typical of me, looking for someone else to take responsibility for my well-being! But anyway, yeah, send my liberal a*s to Holland, you can have Jesusland all to yourself after that.
