As of now I see the NY Yankees playing in the World series against the NY Mets.

Bobby Abreu has been a Godsend for the Yankees. A-Rod is finally starting to hit again.

The Mets are loaded on offense too. It will be a much better World Series than the one the Mets lost in 2000. I see the NY Mets winning the series.

We might see another subway series!... and as usual, the Yankees will beat the Mets.

The Yankees will probably win if Wang and Johnson continue to pitch well. The Yanks offense is awesome. They rank number one in the majors.

Any team that has to face the Twins in the post-season will have a problem. The Twins will pitch Liriano and Santana on consecutive days, meaning that the opposition will likely lose both games. The Yankees do not fare well against left-handed starters that have the stuff those guys have (not that anyone else does).
I am not putting the cart before the horse here. The Twins have to get into post-season before they can win a series or 3.

Thanks. Some people think that Johan Santana is the Twins MVP, but Morneau gets my vote. Look at tonight's game -- 3/4, 1 run scored, 2 driven in (the game winning RBIs, by the way).
If the Twins have both Liriano and Santana, and hopefully Radke in some capacity, their starting pitching will be just fine. Their bullpen is as good as any in baseball and their offense is not too bad.
Like I said, however, there are 20 days left in the season and the Twins have 19 ballgames to play. If they win 12 of them, they will make the playoffs and win 97 games.
I like the Yankees, Twins and Angels to win their divisions. Can the Tigers hold the White Sox off? Not sure. The Tigers seem to be playing a bit better this week, but if Zumaya is out for any length of time, they will be in a bit of trouble.
In the NL, I like the Mets, Cardinals and Dodgers to win their divisions. Can San Diego play well enough to make it in as the WC or will the Reds, Phillies or Marlins make it? If the Marlins make it, I would fear them to make life miserable for any opponent, including the Mets.
Overall, I may be a "homer" but the Twins have just as good a chance as any other team to make it through the playoffs and into the WS.

Yeah the Marlins are scary when they play in the postseason.

I would have to go with Justin Morneau as the Twins MVP.

Most of the Marlins starting pitchers are young and have no playoff experience yet, though.

But being young like they are, they may not totally understand the atmosphere they are pitching in and could just go out there and pitch like its any other game as well. Young is not always a bad thing.

True, I'm just saying they may not be used to the pressure of playoff games and it may or may not effect how they play.

After being beat two out of three by Atlanta this weekend, the Marlins goose may be cooked.
