Speaking of Clark... anyone else hear that he got fined something like $75,000 for throwing ice at a fan during Game One!?

Philly has taken game 2 now making it 1-1 in the series. I can tell this series is gonna be tight.

yeah.... Iverson had a 76er playoff high of 54 PTS.... still, it was only a.. what?... 6 point game in the end?... 5 points?

...whatever... I'm sure T.O. will take the split in Philly, making it a best-of-five, with them having home court advantage.

Back to the thread...

I still think Toronto has a great chance of winning this series. They only lost in Game 2 by 5 and were there all the way.

2 things:

1) Obviously, the Raptors can play when Carter scores "just" 25-28 PTS per game (e.g.: a 5-pt loss vs. Philly)... 76ers can't play when Iverson scores "just" 20-30 PTS per game (e.g.: a 17-pt or whatever-it-was loss vs. Toronto)... then again, I've only seen just 3 basketball games all season, so....

2) THOSE GUYS ON TNT ARE GETTING ON MY NERVES... :redhot:

examples.....
"With the Leafs gone, the Raptors carry Toronto's playoff hopes"
"The Leafs lost a Game Seven two nights ago, so the Raptors are the only team left for this city"
"The Raptors have the city of Toronto's undivided attention now that the Leafs are gone."

I counted... SEVEN TIMES they brought up the Leafs and hockey and that the Raptors "finally" had the city's (and country's) attention... and that record-setting crowd at the ACC (over 20,000) only allowed them a few more times to tell us that.

BELIVE ME -- the Raptors have been selling 18,000, 19,000, 20,000 tickets every game... at least, every playoff game... it was the fact that this was a semi-finals game verus a great team that there was a record setting crowd!... not because the hockey playoffs are over for the city of Toronto!!!

TORONTO HAS OVER 2 MILLION PEOPLE. EVEN IF THE LEAFS WERE STILL ALIVE, THE RAPTORS WOULD HAVE THE CITY'S UNDIVIDED ATTENTION ON EVERY PLAYOFF GAME, BECAUSE THE TEAMS SHARE THE SAME ARENA, AND THEY CAN'T PLAY ON THE SAME NIGHT AT HOME... BESIDES, I'M SURE THERE ARE AT LEAST 20,000 PEOPLE IN TORONTO THAT DON'T GIVE A HOOT ABOUT THE LEAFS AND WOULD RATHER WATCH BASKETBALL ANYWAYS.

...if I hear one more word of that on TNT... well, I'll TAKE some TNT (trinitroteleune (sp?) ) to the TNT studios!!! ggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......

Well I didn't watch the game but it sounds like those announcers aren't all straight in the head or something.

Those thing would make me mad as well, its like saying:
"With the Kings out of the playoffs, all the hopes are with the Lakers."

I DON"T THINK SO! LOL

Default WOW ....

Toronto just isn't missing shots this series.

First Dell Curry goes off for 20, then Vince Carter goes off for 50. It's not even the fact that he got 50 that suprises me. It's that he shot so great of a 3 point FG percentage in doing so. He had 9 three pointers going into the beginning of the fourth quarter. And knowing that the game was in hand for the Raptors, he decided to leave it at that, and let Rex Chapman have his share of a record :-)

Congrats to Vince Carter and company for winning Game 3. They totally deserved to win.

Default Corrections..

Jersey Devil, Carter had "just" 8 three-balls in the first half... eight in a row, and then an air ball and then a missed one... so he was 8-for-10 in the first half... I believe that was a new record for one playoff half... then he hit just one in the second half for nine, and a share of the playoff three-ball record, like you said.

You do what ever you have to do to beat Philly, more or less because I hate Iverson with everything!

I'm right here!!!... Stickin' with my team until the end.... I wonder, though... is Marc predicting the 76ers to go all the way to the Finals now with that wishy-washy-type brain of his!??????...

...Simply.. the Raptors SUCKED last night. Do you realize the 76ers lead by 9 points for the entire game, except for when it was 0-0, 2-0, 4-0, 6-0, and 8-0!??? ...that's pathetic.

...VC with 5 turnovers alone..

...Raptors with 13 by halftime (season average for 48 minutes was 13.1)

They (Raps) don't have to look far for motivation... they'll be pumped tomorrow for Game 6... and even if they aren't... they've sure added more history to the Canadian basketball record books!!.. and I'm satisfied with just that alone.
