Default Eastern Conference Finals: Heat vs. Bulls

Love this matchup. The Heat are star-studded, whereas the Bulls are a complete team to go with MVP Derrick Rose. Bulls took Game 1 at home with suffocating defense and just great balance and toughness. I still think the combo of Wade/James will propel the Heat in 6 or 7. Anyone think the Bulls will come out on top? Tark?

I'd very cautiously lean in the Bull favor based on their superior depth & defensive prowess. Defense wins championships in 7 games series when there's no more surprises & imposing your will on an opponent is more a team mindset than an individual superstar mentality.

The Bulls have trouble scoring points at times & haven't looked too sharp in the first 2 series yet continue to impress, closing games/teams out in the crunch. This first game against the Heat Elite has ratcheted up the Bull intensity on the defensive end which bodes ill for the Heat.

They just don't have the depth the Bulls have nor the cohesiveness. Kudos to "They Call Me Mister Thibs" Tom Thibodeau for doing what he does best which is craft a championship D. That alone balances the scales of the Bull inexperience & front line scoring weakness IMO.

Of course, that tide can change quickly if James/Wade turn the tables & shake the Bull confidence but I'd still go with a team that controls the boards, plays top notch team D & who has out-hustled opponents all year long.

The Boston series against an aging, wounded Celt squad was smoke & mirrors, not an ascension of 'The Gods". Throw in the 0-4 reg season record against the overlooked Bulls & it starts to look like the Heat are the ones still with a mountain to climb.

Bulls in 7 tho I could see the Heat in a melt down as a team going out in 6.

Heat took Game 2 in Chicago, so the series is leaning towards them. But that can all change if Chicago takes one in Miami. Ridiculously, the next game isn't until Sunday night. It's going to be a long, close series either way...
