Default Edge or Ricky Williams to Miami?

I read on espn.com today that both Edge and Ricky Williams would like to play for the Dolphins next year. Does anyone think that either one of these could possibly get traded to Miami?

Personally, I could see Williams possibly going to Miami with Duece McAllister in the backfield for the Saints.

Yeah, I think out of the two, the Ricky Williams deal is much more ideal. Let's face it, Ricky Williams hasn't been real happy in New Orleans since he's arrived - let's remember, this team traded nearly all their draft picks for just Williams! I'm not sure he has lived up to it.

I disagree with you there. He has had a great season, and is just beginning his prime, his second straight 1,000-yard season. He is their future, him and Aaron Brooks, and there is no way he will go. The exact same with Edge, although he has had a better 3-year career, Ricky was injured the past two years, who knows what he could of done had he been as healthy as James. No chance either will go.

In Miami's case it's all about priorities: While Lamar Smith will never be confused with Jim Brown or Walter Payton, the Dolphins can live with him at the top of their depth chart at RB for one more year a lot more than they can live with their woefully undersized defensive front seven that wears out physically every year and plays poorly down the stretch. Why do you think that Miami is 7-18-1 against the spread in December since 1996? It's not because of their running backs.

I certinaly hope Edge doesn't get traded to Miami. You can't trade our star running back to the enemy! Seriously, though, it would be a shame to lose James. And let's face it, the Colts need all the help they can get after this mega disapointing season!..

In case you forgot, Nate, starting next year the Dolphins are no longer "the enemy" - thanks to the realignment, which will move Indianapolis to the AFC South, while Miami remains in the AFC East.

Yeah, you're right Anthony. I still don't understand how you can put Indianapolis in the south...
