Default Bad Bad Weather Here in Alabama and Tennessee

I live in the rainest city in the nation or has been in the past. It has rained here almost everyday for two solid months now. Everybody has heard about the awful tornadoes in Alabama and Tennessee.

Mobile has been spared the big tornadoes-thank God.
But the wind has been gusting to 40 to 50 MPH around my house for two days. Perfect tornado weather. It 's not fit for man or beast outside right now.

It's 11:54PM as I write this and it is still pouring rain. I need some sunny weather and soon. Plus its been so warm and muggy. I hope we have relief soon. Sorry for all the people that lost their lives in this bad weather.

Thanks for your insight, Sam...

Keith, I'm glad you're okay. First, it was the hurricanes, now this. You'd think it'd be more tranquil in the autumn! We've been getting a lot of the same rain here -- nasty weather this time of the year, it seems. Not much sun.

By the way, I thought Seattle was the most rainy city -- but I don't doubt Mobile is there, too.

Actually, Mobile for years has been regarded as the rainest city in the US. Saw this in several different almanacs. It drizzles a lot in Seattle, but we get drenching rains here often.

I think I read it was some place in Cal... no wait, that was the snowiest city.
