Joe Jurivicous lands with the Seahawks now there may not be as many drop balls in the endzone.

The last Good WR to play at Penn State. And he has been trough alot with his kid. So I likewise wish him great success. Maybe he can get that 2nd ring.

Actually another "human interest" story involving an NFL wide receiver is more likely: Kevin Johnson reuniting with ex-Syracuse teammate Donovan McNabb and getting what would be the first ring for both of them.

If McNabb lobbies the Eagle front office hard enough, he should be able to convince them to sign Johnson, whose salary would hardly be a cap-buster.

Hmm, interesting the Pats pick up former Bears washout David Terrell today.

Now that he will finally have someone decent throwing to him, Terrell's career just might take off.

And didn't Tom Brady throw him the ball in college, too? Terrell was supposed to be better than he has been coming out of Michigan, so it isn't unrealistic to expect him to turn his career around under the structured Pats organization and Brady throwing him the ball. NE has made stars out of average receivers in the past, and tamed headcases like Corey Dillon, so it should be interesting...

He had major foot surgery and is still in a walking cast/boot. Teams are waiting to see how his rehab goes and want to know if he is going to ready to play this summer before signing him. I am sure Ty Law is looking for a big contract with a sizable signing bonus and nobody is going to invest that kind of money if he is not going to be ready to go at the beginning of the season. If he were open to a minimal base salary incentive laden contract I am sure someone would have signed him by now.

Apparantly you missed the entire 2002 season and Bryant Johnson. Johnson isn't going to be an NFL star but I expect him to have a similar career to Jurevicious. But otherwise I agree with you. Penn State has not had many great receivers recently but Joe has always been "run first, pass if neccesary". Hopefully by the time Derrick Williams leaves PSU he will change this.

In other PSU-related NFL news, TE John Gilmore re-signed with the Bears.

Excellent news coming out of Denver...

Trevor Pryce is staying put with the Broncos, at a reduced salary, but not at a reduced role. It's a reestructured 4-year (salary-cap-friendly?) contract. He's basically one of the MVP's on defense, and trading or releasing him wasn't a good call.
Even so, with the revamp D-line, there's a lot of question marks surrounding the "Brown Express" aka, Brown, Warren, Ekuban and Myers. Pryce is the face and steady force on the defensive line.

Heck, I wish the decision made by the Denver front office to grab those mistake-by-the-lake players from Cleveland does pay off. I have SERIOUS doubts about those 4 guys, especially when considering that Romeo Crennel got rid of ALL of them.

Good news for Steelers fans, the Bus is going to give it one more year in Pittsburgh: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2033488

Good to see him finish out his career there rather than jump to somewhere like Philly (I believe that was the other team mentioned).

Vikings | Sign Packers' Kampman to an Offer Sheet - from www.KFFL.com
Wed, 13 Apr 2005 09:40:49 -0700

ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the Minnesota Vikings have signed Green Bay Packers restricted free agent DE Aaron Kampman to a one-year offer sheet. Financial terms of the offer sheet were not immediately available. The Packers have first right of refusal and can match the offer. If they do not, the Packers would receive a fifth-round draft choice from the Vikings as compensation.

Packers would be nuts not to match this unless it's astronomical. Kampman is the only guy who plays hard and stays healthy on the D-line

Darn Vikings, stealing all the Packers defense bit by bit
