Default We need relief!

The Dbacks bullpen is ruining what could be a good season with the worst ERA in the majors. The nine run lead they gave up on friday was the last straw as far as I'm concerned. Rumor has it, that the Dbacks might be shopping some of their prospects for some much neede help, before the NL west gets away from them. Jose Mesa has been mentioned as well as Every day Eddie from Seattle.

How about Paul Quantrill? I'm sure the Yankees wouldn't mind Arizona taking him off their hands...

I have heard that some teams may be interested in Quantrill if the Yanks agree to eat a large chunk of his remaining salary. The Yanks have bullpen issues of their own to work out as it is.

Yes and Quantrill is one of the problems. Manging to dump him would be addition by subtraction. Same goes for the likes of Womack and Giambi. Though chances are much slimmer that a team will be interested in either of them.

Sturtze didn't look too terribly impressive yesterday against the Cards everything he threw up there went straight back the other way. Given his track record I wouldn't put much faith in the idea of him being a stud out of the pen for the remainder of the season.

They could probably find someone to take Womack off their hands if someone were in the market for a veteran bat. Giambi is not going anywhere unless the Yankees agree to eat an overwhelming majority of that contract.

Of course, one way to help the bullpen is to throw a complete game like Estes did tonight, beating the best team in baseball right now.

You think Zona has bullpen problems the Rays have 2 pitchers on the entire roster with an ERA under 4.00.
