Report: Isiah Thomas ODs on sleeping pills

A 47-year-old man was taken to the hospital and treated for an accidental overdose of sleeping pills Friday at the suburban home of former New York Knicks coach Isiah Thomas, police said.

Police would not identify the victim, except to give his age. Thomas is 47. Harrison Police Chief David Hall said the case was not a suicide attempt.

Madison Square Garden spokesman Barry Watkins told The Journal News newspaper, "Isiah is fine." WCBS Radio reported that the call involved an "issue with sleeping pills."

The Knicks had no comment. A message left with Thomas' public relations agency wasn't immediately returned.

An ambulance responded to a 911 call early Friday, and a person was taken to White Plains Hospital Center, about 5 miles from the home, Harrison Officer Vincent Lanzillotti said.

Late Friday afternoon, a small SUV escorted by a police car pulled into a private road leading to the luxury development in Westchester County where Thomas lives, about 30 miles from midtown Manhattan.

Too much Ambien? That's just crazy. That **** makes you do stuff you don't remember doing the next day. That's why I slip one to old lady one every now and then.

Now there's this big accusation of a cover-up with Isiah saying it was his daughter who needed the help. His 47-year-old male daughter?

Oh, how he has fallen. It's been interesting to see where his career has gone after he was booted out of Indianapolis. It seems to just keep piling on. Sexual harassment, getting fired, and how this.
