Default Cam Cameron Out in Miami

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3178646

No suprise. A little unfair but not shocking Cameron is gone in miami. I believe he will have to re establish him self as a coordinator before he gets another job. I think that you will see a Parcells guy as the new coach not sure who yet.

Stick to coordinating Cammy.

The early front-runner to replace Cameron is another Cowboys employee, assistant head coach Tony Sparano.

Sounds an awful lot like....

Fire Cam and re-sign Ricky Williams. So begins the Parcels era.

Yeah, and the list of potential candidates to fill the spot seems a rather underwhelming lot. Is Parcells even remotely aware of how the Tice Era went in Minnesota?

I heard on the radio today that Cameron may end up as the OC in San Francisco.

How does Cameron keep working? I blasted this hiring when it went down. He was a wreck at Indiana 20 years ago.

Anyone know of any other candidates outside of Tice (agree with doublee - that's crazy talk right there)?

In fairness he is as good as there is when it comes to getting the most out of a QB. Look at how much Phillip Rivers took a step back without him as the OC in San Diego this year.

He was Gibbs' QB coach in Washington when they managed to coax Super Bowl rings out of Jay Schroeder/Doug Williams and Mark Rypien of all people.

That is why Mike Nolan and Herm Edwards are already lining up at his door to see if he would be interested in mentoring their young QBs. He is good an assistant coach as there is he just does not seem to be HC material although I think he is taking more heat for Miami's season than he really deserves.

According to John Clayton the candidates are:

Tony Sparano (rumored to be the top choice)
Maurice Carthon
Todd Haley (The guy who TO blew up at in Dallas last season)
Mike Tice
Rex Ryan
Leslie Frazier

None of them are terribly overwhelming choices.
