Default Your Choices for President...

I'm pretty sure we have all the names in for the November election. Let me know if I missed anyone.

Here are the choices (in alphabetical order)

Gene Amondson - Prohibition Party

Chuck Baldwin - Constitution Party

Bob Barr - Libertarian Party

Roger Calero - Socialists Workers

Charles Jay - Boston Tea Party

Alan Keyes - America's Independent

Gloria La Riva - Socialism and Liberation Party

John McCain - Republican Party

Frank McEnulty - New American Independent

Cynthia McKinney - Green Party

Brian Moore - Socialist Party

Ralph Nader - Independent, Peace and Freedom

Barack Obama - Democratic Party

Ted Weill - Reform Party

**********************************************************

Who is up for your consideration?

I've narrowed it down to 2: Brian Moore (Socialist Party) and Ralph Nader

Not too pleased with either guy but once again I'm not too fond of the Green Party's pick. Moore's party has the best platform...by far...but he isn't as good as Walt Brown - the 2004 nominee.

I will be voting for Obama, at this point. Had he selected Evan Bayh for VP, I would have looked into some of the 3rd party candidates, but ultimately stumbled back to Obama.

Even though it's probably likely that my political desires would match more with one of the 3rd party candidates, I don't see myself voting for a 3rd party candidate.

While I see many flaws in the way our political system is currently set up, I don't see too many benefits in voting outside of it. I saw a quote on the wikipedia page for Rage Against the Machine a while back that I think fits: "When you live in a capitalistic society, the currency of the dissemination of information goes through capitalistic channels. Would Noam Chomsky object to his works being sold at Barnes & Noble? No, because that's where people buy their books."

The candidates have been weighed, they have been measured, and...

I'll look at Alan Keyes a bit closer. I like his attitude and ideas.

You can vote for anyone else if you want, but they aren't choices for president.

I ain't no lawyer (never had the brains to be) but isn't this entrapment?

Not only entrapment, but with one helluva net?

I endorsed him, but instead of standing in line at the polls I think I'm probably going to take a nap.
