Blackburn looks good some nights. Then he gives up 4+ goals... I hope he comes around eventuallly.

What do people think of the Tom Poti for Mike York deal last season. Right now, Poti not only leads the Rangers in points, but also is tops among NHL defensemen.

Sorry to drudge up an old thread, but now that the season is wrapping up I thought it might be interesting to compare the reality of the season against these initial predictions.

Ironically the author of that article was wrong on every single prediction made. I hope he didnt make too many bets.

My personal prediction for the Wild at the start of the year was 81-85 points and just missing the post season. It currently looks like that prediction could be a bit low, and surprisingly enough they are very close to a playoff spot.

Their magic number is now 5 games.

Ya.... no kidding... I did'nt think the Bolts would make the playoffs but everything is comming together for them now. Here's how my predictions have fared thsu far:

Tampa is the only team that is in a playoff spot that I didn't think would be. They have replaced the Montreal Canadiens who I predicted would win the East.

I predicted San Jose would win the Pacific, and the Coyotes would also make hte playoffs. San Jose's season has gone kaputz and I gave the Coyotes more credit than most (though Burke was injured a long time). Replacing them are Minnesota and Anaheim who I thought would occupy spots 13 and 14 in the West.

All this talk about the Stanley Cup and no one seems to mention the best team in the NHL and this years star Stanley Cup winner.....THE DALLAS STARS!!!

Come on!!!

NFC Champs (1970, 1975, 1978)
Super Bowl Champs (1971, 1977, 1992, 1993, 1995)

Alex will become famous soon enough

Colorado has the experience and the talent. Dallas IMO is one of those teams that looks great in the regular season but falters in the play offs. i view them as the St. Louis team that won the points champ. and then sucked in the play offs
