Default Carolina @ Philadelphia

If there could have been a more un-appealing NFC match-up....I certainly can't imagine it.

Will Philly choke for a third consecutive year?

Can the Foxxy Panther's and the Tom Brady-esque Jake Delhomme continue the magic ride?

I say YES.....to #2.

Panthers 20
Eagles 10

Panthers/Colts Super Bowl? Yikes....

The Panthers in this one. The Eagles never win this one.

3rd time is a charm for the Eagles but they will loose the Superbowl to the Colts.

I thought Philly could get it done last season against a Florida team in cold weather. How wrong was I on that one? Carolina is a hot team and there is nothing about Philly that makes me feel confident about them winning. I'm not sure Carolina has the guns to beat the Colts or Pats in the Super Bowl but they sure as hell can win this one.

Panthers 31
Eagles 20

Coming off the biggest playoff win in their history, I can see a bit of a letdown versus the Panthers. But the Eagles never believe they're going to lose, so they'll fight back and ultimately, I believe, win.

Eagles 16, Panthers 13

Low-scoring, defensive game. Eagles will grind it out due to experience and McNabb.

I am a McNabb fan. I want to finally see him get to the Superbowl; however, if the eagles do not have a chance I would rather see the panthers go. I don't care one way or the other about them.

If Carolina wins, talk about disaster for the NFL. They are praying Philly wins this.

I think Philly got their bad game out the way last week. They probably should have lost to Green Bay. I think they take some momentum from that and beat Carolina, 20-10.

I have to pick Philadelphia anyways...I picked them in the August to go to the Superbowl.

Too bad the Dolphins aren't anywhere near the AFC Championship....that was my other team....

With all the hoopla surrounding the Pats vs. Colts game (they say this is the SuperBowl), I forgot about the NFC Championship game. :freak:

But i'm going for McNabb and the Eagles.

Eagles - 17
Panthers - 14

Dave

History says the third time probably won't be the charm: Since teams have needed to win at least two playoff games to qualify for the Super Bowl (since 1967), five teams have gotten to a third conference championship game after having reached that round and lost in both of the previous two years - and four of them lost the third time as well: The Raiders in 1970 and again in 1975, the Rams in 1976, and the Cowboys in 1982. Only the 49ers in 1994 won the conference title game after having lost it twice in a row prior (then they also won the Super Bowl, beating San Diego).
