Juan Dixon a Washington Wizard is more than capable of being the starting point guard. Gilbert Arenas is a good player, but not worth the money he is getting. We have more than enough guards who can produce equal if not better than him. Juan Dixon is under rated by the wizards organization and the Maryland D.C. area fans are taking it like a slap in the face. If Juan was the starter his numbers would look like this 23.5pts, 5.5rbs, 6.5ast.2.0stls. All of this for a lot less money then what Gilbert makes.

Not sure who you would trade him to or for. Most teams that have a quality big man also have quality guards on the team. Quality big men usually come at a premium price in the NBA and generally it takes at least two players to get one in a trade. It is very hard to acquire quality post players in a trade unless you can find a team looking to dump salaries or pending free agents.

Dude, I hope the Warriors will pull of a trade sending the offensively abysmal Adonal Foyle for Arenas. I'll love to have Gilbert back in the Area.

See, the problem is Adonal Foyle is not a 'big man worth the money'.

He offense sucks. When he gets the ball I hold my breath because he can't even clutch it hard enough for it not to slip out of his hands. His shooting is a truly bad sight to watch folks.
BUT his defense is another story, he is Theo Ratliff-lite, he contests every shot till the point it frustrates players, and can block them pretty frequently, and rebounds kind of nicely for a man his size. His only bad side is that he accpeted that goddamn huge deal pitting him in the "overrated" zone. Last edited by Hero; 11-21-2004 at 03:45 PM. |

Hey, cannot say that is his only bad side. Nobody can blame him for taking that deal. If the Warriors offered you 40 mil you wouldn't turn it down. That contract just makes him untradeable because nobody in their right mind would give a guy like Foyle that kind of money.

But the thing he's not that kind of people. He's not a greedy money grubber like many athletes today. He's a man that donates millions out of his own pocket to orphanages and such. I can tell you he along with David Robinson are two of the most generous gentlemen there ever was in this league, it's just unfortunate he's getting viewed as money-hungry guy now.

Wow, I think that is a rather ridiculous thing to say about the guy. It is not like he was holding out and demanded that kind of money the Warriors willingly gave it to him. As far as I know no other team even offered him any sort of a significant deal along those lines. I cannot blame a guy for taking that kind of money if a team is willing to give it to him.

Yea I saw something on Outside the Lines on Espn on how much he donates and how he helps out a lot of kids. He does a lot to give back.
