Help finding an old thread/link
There was an old thread—I’d guess it was in 04—about a guy who was selling a Mac computer on ebay. Realizing that it was someone trying to rip him off, he sent a friend in the UK that happened to live in the area of the mailing address of the scammer to go to the location and scout it. Then, after his friend went and the place ended up looking really shady, the guy sent the scammers a fake computer made out of cardboard.
Either Marc or KB posted it… I think. Anyways, for some reason I’ve had the desire to read this over the last few months, and I can’t find it anywhere. I remember it being a really long and fascinating story, full of pictures. It was like a computer nerd detective story. Any help would be great! Best, Ellis |

Now I am not sure but I believe inactive threads in certain forums get deleted, that's a question only Marc can answer. I can try looking up the story on google or bing though, I will tell you if I have any luck.

Good to see you guys, hope you are making more than a cameo. What is new with everyone? Anyone married? Sent to jail? I've been working 60+ hours a week as a freight (truck) broker and spending the rest of the time with my girlfriend!
