How would he fit with the team? He's big and slow, but for a center you don't need an athletic freek for D'Antoni's up-tempo system. Shaq would give the team a tough inside presence, but would I don't think it would be worth it. They're banking on the offseason of 2010, and Shaq would make them a better team, therefore earning them a lower pick in the draft. The Knicks would likely rather have a bad team filled with potential to attract one of the big-name free agents as opposed to a mediocre team that won't bring in a star in July. |

Why can't he stay put? He's not a good fit for D'Antoni's system. I don't see the point of the Knicks bringing in a 37-year-old when they are nowhere near contending. Seems pointless for both.

Shaq wants to work it out so that somehow he gets to retire in LA... where he belongs.
I see no harm in that. make it happen Shaq. you and your jersey should retire in LA. |

The only problem I foresee with that would be will Shaq's ego let him play second string to Bynum? Would Shaq be okay coming off the bench for only 15 to 20 minutes while Bynum gets the lion's share of the minutes at the center position?

if you saw the acceptance ceremony of the all star mvp trophy, I think Shaq knows his place.

He needs to stay still where he is and win a championship.

How much is too much? He hasn't Twittered in a while; I don't find it to be too much.

ok I'll be honest- I'm a little bit old-school and haven't really jumped on board Twitter yet. I have an account, with a few friends on it, but none of them... what is the verb.... 'tweet'? (Except Shaq, who filled up my page as soon as I added him, prompting my observation)
