Exclamation Rush Limbaugh is deaf!

Got this via the Internet's "dirt" new site, Drudge Report: http://drudgereport.com/rtl.htm

Any thoughts on this? How many know him/have listened to him? I have heard him, but think he's an idiot and don't regularly listen or anything. I wonder how long he can do his show if he can't hear anything.

His hearing has been a problem for weeks, and his show has carried on nonetheless. Even the Druge Report story you linked to talked about Beethoven...and his hearing was much more important to that than Rush's is to his job. He'll endure through this, no doubt.

I am very saddened by this (it's so surreal that the nation's most popular talk show host, and one of the most popular in the world, I believe, would lose his hearing)...and personally I think he's incredibly witty and clever. No offense Marc, but he's far from an idiot...he's very well educated and I've never heard him bested on the air.

Yes, Chris, I take back that comment. A little insensitive. Anyway, it is sad to hear this and I wish him the best.

By the way, I'm glad to see you back here. Look forward to your continued participation, time permitting.

Don't know him.....

NAH, don't be sensative! We've all got our opinions, let 'em be heard, even if you're just kidding around. We don't need to be all serious around here......if you want to be, we should make an Intellectual Board, for all ya geeks out there. For now, let's just have some fun around here.

So, Old Baldy's deaf as a doornail. Oh well, there's always sign language!

I appreciate the humor, but honestly, I don't think this is something that should be made fun of. A person losing their hearing is like having part of them amputated...If you offered me $10 million for my hearing, I wouldn't even have to think twice before rejecting the offer. I can't stop you if you want to joke about it...I just don't think it's in good taste.

TWT-

You're probably right, but I just feel like I shouldn't dwell on something as non-affecting as Rush Limbaugh losing most of his hearing (I heard he wasnt legally deaf quite yet). There's enough to feel bad for in the world these days, why not look on the bright side of things, and make jokes to lighten things up? I sure think it's easier that way. Sure, it's sad if you lose your hearing (I wouldnt take $10 million either ), but I'm not going to dwell on some guy I do not know personally.

That's my two-cents. Poor Rush Limbaugh.
