Just wondering how you guys would rank them. There are only a few websites that rank them, and none of them are too great.

It's hard to do, but no one's list seems to be the same.

2. A Day In the Life
3. Revolution 9
4. Let It Be
5. While My Guitar Gently Weeps (acoustic version- Anthology.)
6. Eleanor Rigby
7. Yesterday
8. Golden Slumbers
9. Fixing A Hole
10. I Want You (She's So Heavy)
11. Long, Long, Long
12. Carry That Weight
13. Blackbird
14. I Will
15. While My Guitar Gently Weeps
16. Helter Skelter
17. Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da
18. Rocky Raccoon
19. Two Of Us
20. Happiness Is a Warm Gun

If we can include their solo careers, Oh Yoko should be way up there.

I'm not a big enough Beatles fan that I could make a top 20 list. That said, I'd include Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds on such a list.

Good list Ellis.

I think you are correct - each list would be different. Even top 5 favorite Beatles songs are unique for most people.

I will put together my list later

I wonder how they came to this list? Did commercial success play a factor in the ranking?

Okaaaaaayyy.......None of these are in my top 5, but that's cool.....

This is my top 5. George Harrison was my favorite Beatle, as you'll be able to tell from the top 3:

1. Here Comes the Sun
2. Something
3. While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Eric Clapton plays lead guitar in this song - absolutely awesome)
4. Let It Be
5. Hey Jude (Na, na, na, nananana......:thumbsup2

No, if it had then Hey Jude would have been near the top of the list. CNN's list is a bit odd. They barely pick anything from their the latter years of their catalog.

Well, if commercial success only played a factor, and not the determining factor, Hey Jude could still miss the cut...

Perhaps the guy who made the list thinks Hey Jude is a ****ty song, so all the success in the world couldn't save it

But I see what you're saying. There are a few #1 hits that aren't even on their list.

Good point on the CNN list. It is almost entirely Rubber Soul and earlier...

CNN's list is bull-.

My list would start with:

1) Happiness is a Warm Gun
2) Don't Let Me Down
3) .............

This is WAY too hard... I'll keep thinking

No list is official unless you are stoned when you make it.

We need a volunteer...

Ellis, thank you.

lol. From my understanding, Revolution 9 is number one on everyone's list when they are stoned.

Fresh, Happiness is a bold pick for number one. The last third of the song is amazing, but I wouldn't have guessed that anyone would put that as #1

I'll buy that to a degree, but one would think if commercial success had played any influence into this list then Hey Jude would have at least made the top 20 as it is #2 best selling song, and I believe, stayed on top of the charts he longest of any of their singles. If they happen to think it is a crap song and don't include it on their list then I would have to think commercial success has no bearing in this compilation and it is merely a list of personal preference.

Also, I would think that if commercial success played any kind of factor here then we would see more songs from their latter day albums as they were better sellers.
