Default Scott Stevens and Vinny Damphousse retire

Solid players. Stevens is a potential hall-of-famer in my book, though his numbers don't necessarily reflect it. But to see him play is to see what being a defenseman in this league is all about. Tough, intense, intimidating, and jumped in on attack every so often. Cheers, Scotty.

I think Damphousse probably stuck around a season or two too long, but a good career for him, as well.
It tastes like... burning.

I heard that Stevens may still comeback later this season or next. I agree Stevens is one of the best ever. I remember him with the Capitals in the 80's, he was more of an offensive threat then and man was he always in the middle of the brawls. Later in his career he became one of the best defensive defenseman in hockey and possibly the best open ice hitter in the game. If he stays retired the game will miss him, he was outstanding in the playoffs. Damphousse was a great player but your right, he played a little too long. I think Stevens should definitely be in the HOF and probably Damphousse as well.
