Default "Undefeated"

This saturday there is a HUGE boxing fight Between two undefeated fighters. P4P number 1 Floyd mayweather and Junior Welter weight Champ Ricky Hatton. Fighting at 147. Anyone else ponying up the money for this. Or going somewhere to watch it.

I like Hatton don't know why I just do. I might put some $$$ on the fight but, I won't be able to catch it.

I thought Floyd could maybe win but for him to KO Ricky as he did was shocking.

I didn't get to see it but, I saw the highlights on SC was it as dominant as it seems.

Didn't see it but exactly what risk there was for Hatton must have come true. He had to take way too much punishment coming in & Mayweather showed to be too strong once he was...

This scenario reminded me of the old Leonard/Duran fights where there Duran had come up in weight & had a 7" reach disadvantage. Ist fight had Sugar Ray's ego taking over & trying to go toe to toe with Duran winning it. Next fight saw him use his size to frustrate Duran into the No Mas fiasco. I guess Mayweather had a handle on his ego. Imagine that...

A shame cuz Mayweather needs a little humbling...

Now if he ever was nuts enough to step into the ring with Cotto... That would be a fight. Cotto wouldn't be coming up in weight & can hurt you just banging whatever he can reach...

Rounds 7-10 were dominant for Mayweather. The opening 5 were fairly even. After the first 5, I think the HBO scorekeeper had it 3-2 Hatton in rounds. I'm not so sure about that, but it was even enough to slide a round or two to Hatton. Mayweather just stepped his game up late and really pulled away.

Mush did you see mayweather vs Gatti. Outside of Round 1 and 2 it followed the same script as that one.

IIRC Gatti only lasted like 6 rounds, and was being completely beat to the punch from the start. Hatton looked like he was doing okay, but nobody blocks/slips punches like PBF. I was hoping to see PBF get humbled as well, but watching that fight...hes that good. Nobody can land clean shots on him. Was surprised he was able to catch Hatton and put him down tho.

I know the fight was longer this time. But like I said outside of the first round or two it was the same things just a supreme boxer beating a and outclassing a straight forward brawler.

I didnt watch the entire Hatton vs PBF fight, but from what I saw on youtube (rounds 7-10), Hatton was doing a half decent job coming in, just everything he threw got blocked/slipped or PBF just locked up with him until the ref separated them again. Whereas the Gatti fight, PBF basically used his head as a punching bag the entire fight.

Its ashame PBF has had or chose, to market himself as a scumbag basically. He's so talented and consistent, his performances should speak for themselves, but instead he's chosen to promote himself like a thug with no respect, when he's really not like that at all. I guess that's what sells PPVs to the american public tho, bad blood. Its not enough for 2 elite fighters to step into the ring and face eachother.
