Default Kobe Against the Pistons--Predict the Points

anybody wanna take a shot at guessing what Mr. Bryant does against the team with the NBA's best record (that also ranks third in points against)?

I will be VERY surprised if dude breaks 25 points Sunday night.

I would say Kobe gets in the 20-25 point range. Pistons are having an amazing season so far and they are probably focused mainly on stopping Kobe.

i think the pistons as a team, out of respect for themselves and to make a point, will simply NOT let kobe score more than 25. I think that, to them, allowing any individual to score more than 25 is a slap in the face. Cant wait to see the defensive looks they throw at him.

As much as I dislike the guy, Tayshaun Prince has shown to be quite a tough defender for Kobe with his reach. The Pistons know how to contain Kobe, though it will be interesting to see if Kobe can adjust properly. I'm thinking he'll find a way and as long as his teammates hit open shots, his numbers overall will spike whereas his points total might dip...maybe something along the lines of 29 points (11-12 from the line ), 7 reb, 8 assts.

Agreed, if anyone can shut down Kobe, it's Prince... although not agreed on disliking Prince; I think he's great!
I'll say 30 pts for Kobe, Lakers lose by 10.

If Kobe takes more than 30 shots, the Lakers will lose the game. If he scores between 28-38, they won't win. They have a chance if he passes the ball to his teammates or if he goes off again.
29 points, Lakers lose 95-81.

Tayshaun and his 7'2" wingspan will make things pretty difficult for Kobe. He makes it difficult for everybody. I'll never forget dude's play on reggie miller in the 04 conference finals when he swatted that layup to basically end the game....

Kobe will have 24 points, 4 assists, 3 steals all in a Lakers loss, 109-87.

How many points did Kobe avg against the Pistons in the Finals 2 years ago?

I predict that Kobe will get 26 points and I really think that will be a stretch - the Pistons are so dominant this season.....

Kobe will get his 25-30 points but will likely be due to him chucking up 30 shots as opposed to having a good game.

I always remember that one too, when thinking about Prince.. that has to be one of the best blocks I've ever seen.

Pistons 88 Lakers 67

-Kobe: 9-33, 8-10 from the line for 28 points.

-Team trainers have to check Kwame's pulse in the 2nd to see if the guy is alive.

-Ben Wallace gets 15 rebounds over Mihm without jumping (doesn't indicate total rebounds now, just the boards he gets without jumping).

-Mihm fouls Joe Dumars in the crowd because Joe once played for the Pistons.

-Lamar Odom and Sheed smoke a few joints at halftime.

- I pop a tape into my VCR from the 1987 Finals with 7:21 left in the 1st quarter to refresh my memory what real basketball is.
