Pitt just had a convincing win vs. G-town yesterday as they move to #2.

The Big East is simply too strong for the winning ways to continue, I figure another early exit from the tourney at the end of the year.

Pitt is the new #1 after Carolina inexplicably failed to show up against BC last night:

Duke, Carolina, Wake, and UConn round out the top five.

That's good news for 'burghers. Let's see how many fans jump off the bandwagon after the first loss like the Steeler and Penguin fans. (The Pirates fans are the true diehards). How did NC still get a #1 vote? It must have been from the likes of Dick Vitale who slobers any time he hears the words ACC, Duke, UNC.

Or, it just be someone who truly believes Carolina is the best team in the country and is not simply voting for another team just because everyone else is. The polls are all meaningless in basketball anyway.

The ridiculousness of voting for a team that is still undefeated instead of voting for a team that just lost to BC...

Doublee, are you a Tar Heels fan?

No, I am just saying the polls are meaningless and if you truly believe UNC is the best team then vote for them. Don't simply vote for Pitt because everyone else is. But, as I said, the polls in basketball are meaningless anyway since they have a tournament to determine who the #1 team is.

Man, Kentucky should have beaten Louisville Sunday, if not for a last-second three from Edgar Sosa. F'n luck! I think UK will be a contender to win the SEC; they have two stars in Patterson and Meeks, and they need a third scorer to step up consistently.

You should try telling that to people here in Memphis. When we fell out of the polls people began looking to next year.

I actually like where we are. We have a very talented team, that since it was so young is going to take some time to gel and while we do we can fly under the radar.

Harvard with the shocking upset of BC tonight. First ever win for Harvard against a ranked opponent.

The sad reality for Kentucky fans is I can't remember the last time we were even in the polls. Freakin' PATHETIC for this storied program. Still, we are on the rise and Billy G. is doing his thing. It takes time, I keep telling myself.
