Default Dallas is Strengthen by Trade

Dallas acquired Nick Van Exel from the Denver Nuggets today. Dallas leads their division by 1/2 game over Minnesota with a record of 37-17. Exel who is a point guard ranks 16th in the NBA in scoring with a 21.4 points per game and ranks eighth in assists with a 8.1 average. The Mavericks traded away Tim Hardaway and two other players. Raef Lafrentz was also acquired in the trade. He is a forward-center. Averaging about 14 points per game. He's 6-11 and 245 pounds. Point guard Avery Johnson also came over in the deal. Dallas also got rid of small forward Juwan Howard. I think Dallas got the best out of this big trade-what do you guys think?

Yes, but I don't know what they're going to do with Van Exel. I can't imagine benching a guy who scores 21 and dishes out 8 dimes a game.

Hmmm... Of course Dallas gets the best of the trade, but they have a killer lineup already. In my opinion, Nash is much better than Van Exel and will keep his starting spot. Van Exel will get minutes at the point and also at the two guard spot.
