Default Eastern Semifinals: (1) New Jersey vs. (4) Charlotte

So who do you guys pick for this series?

Um, Charlotte's still my unbiased pick out of the East. Deepest frontline and team. Baron Davis and Jamal Mashburn lead and New Jersey's halfcourt offense is horrible.

Hornets in 7. (Yes they win Game 7 on the road because the Hornets are a better road team than home team )

As much I want Charlotte to win I think NJ will pull it out, J. Kidd can break down Baron Davis and he carries the Hornets on his shoulders.

The Charlotte Hornets are the darkhorse in thsi whole thing. They beat a very good Magic team and Baron Davis is playing like Magic Johnson. Forget Jason Kidd, Baron Davis is Mr. Triple Double. 'Nets in 6, Hornets that is.

<be aware of very biast opinion coming >

Damn straight, J. That's two triple-double games in a row for my man, Baron. In this series, Baron really emerges and gets the best of Kidd. Mashburn comes back in time for Game 2 and puts them over the top, Hornets in 5. Hornets will destroy the Nets in the halftime and boards.

Baron Davis is very talented. He is not reluctant to score when needed.

Nets take game one with a very impressive 99-93 win over the Hornets. Jason Kidd was once again amazing and the Nets carried all the emotion with the game 5 win over the Pacers into this one.

J. Kidd - 21pts, 7rebs, 7Ast

Elden Campbell got in foul trouble and we had no one inside. Trailer simply isn't that good and they were laying off him and doubling Baron and some of our other guys, making them less effective. With Magloire back now, don't expect that to happen. I say Hornets comes back in Game 2.

When Jamal Magloire comes back, he will dramtically change the rotation and defense as far as the big men are concerned for the Hornets. Mashburn needs to play in this series so that Barron Davis will be able to penetrate without working too hard to get to the basket. With a 80 percent Mashburn or better and a full strength Magloire i will take the Hornets in 7 games and maybe 6 even though they lost the first game.

The hornets are doing all this without a top 2 scorer team wise, and if u didn't see the Hornet vs. Magic series then you missed how Magloire does make a difference inside.

Magloire is so important when Campbell gets into trouble. See, Traylor isn't nearly as good in the post as Campbell or Magloire.

No doubt - the Nets went wild inside during the third quarter of Game 1 against Trayler when Campbell went out with foul trouble. Another weak spot for us is the backup PG, which we have none, but we can make by when we get Magloire back. I predict a big win tonight!

:whine:

Things aren't looking good without Mash. We were lost on offense without our leading scorer and go-to guy late in both games and now we will have to rally to get back into this thing. I don't think playing at home will do anything but remind this team of all the changes that will be happening as soon as their season ends. In some ways, I want it to happen so we can actually move and have fans who support us.

From :whine: to .

What a game tonight, we really were hitting on all fronts, from the big guys (Campbell getting it going early, Magloire late) and Wesley and Davis having a good day, despite a poor start. With the 18-point win, we get back into this thing and look to tie it up Saturday - with Mash? Probably not, but I'm hoping he can come back for Game 5.

Who saw the collision between Kidd and Wesley? Whoa, I was scared for both players then, especially when Kidd had blood squirting everything. It was really gruesome and we are lucky neither was seriously injured.

Great game today, NJ pulled out all the stops. Kidd showed no effects.

Nets up 3-1
