Default Duke vs Texas

The Blue Devils shellacked the Longhorns. Redick... wow. I've never seen him play as well.

Billy Packard was spot-on with his commentary. PJ Tucker couldn't be stopped inside the paint, but Texas didn't make that a priority.

What a blowout. I guess we know what kind of team this year's Dukies are: The kind that play to the level of their competition.

Don't get me wrong, they're good. But they failed to impress against the likes of Drexel and Virginia Tech. Either that or Texas is massively overrated, as I recall Memphis and Indiana hanging with the Blue Devils until the very end.

As I said in the other thread Texas looked to be more style than substance on Saturday. It is almost as though the writers/coaches looked at the team and saw a player in Aldridge being touted as the number one pick next spring and a guy in Daniel Gibson who is being touted as the top PG in the next draft and assumed they should contend for the title. I think some of it may be Gibson being overrated. For a guy who is to be a top PG in the draft he only averages 3.4 assists per game which seems awfully low to me considering he supposedly has the most talented low post player in college basketball.

A point guard in the post that only gets 3.4 assists?

You mean most talented point guard right?
