Be prepared to watch a boring NBA in the future, because all you will be watching is teams winning championships by shooting free throws! David Stern changed the game this year, by winning championships from a physical defense, to a one man superstar offense! Defense no longer wins championships like it did for the Pistons and Spurs in 04-05.The NBA no longer allows as much physical play as they used to. This is the beginning of the downfall for the NBA as we know it. If the NBA allowed physical play in the playoffs this year, the Pistons and the Spurs would be in the finals again.Somewhere, some sports writer wrote "the Pistons saved the NBA after winning the ship in 2004". Now if the Pistons saved the NBA, the Miami Heat destoyed it 2 years later, thanks to Stern.

Tough break for the Grizz...

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Memphis Grizzlies center Pau Gasol could be out up to three months after sustaining a partial fracture in his left foot in the semifinals of the world championships in Japan, officials said.

So he will miss something like 20 regular season games...at most? Memphis wouldn't have got into the top 4 out West anyway and I think they'll still make the playoffs. Still, the deal with the Grizz has been winning a playoff series...or not winning one I should say. It would be nice for them to finish something like 5 or 6 so they could at least have a shot at one. I don't think they could take San Antonio, Dallas, or Phoenix if they played 'em today.

Then again...the season lasts forever so who knows.

I'm sorry...I can't stop laughin'. The irony is killin' me....

Bryant: U.S. team needs chemistry

TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) - The United States basketball team will have to work on its internal chemistry if it wants to perform well at the 2008 Olympics, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant said Thursday....

"Years playing together will jell us as a unit, (but) if there is no chemistry, it's going to be tough to beat all those talented teams," Bryant said, adding he was confident the two years lead up to the Beijing Olympics would be enough to find that chemistry.

I wonder what % of my breakdown will be traced back to Kobe Bryant? You know...after the proper mental health authorities give me those ink blot tests in a padded room.

I think he's surprisingly on target. I think USA's major problem all along is arrogance & I think Brand pointed that out.

Somehow it seems USA refuses to play the international style of zone cuz it's a machismo thing...almost like they feel it's cowardly & that their egos can't take the fact that their "mad skilz" can't overcome a bunch of foreigners...

It's gonna take a moment of clarity across the board to identify this problem & jointly correct it.

The Vegas Line on the odds of that coming to pass is 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 to 1....at last glance...
