if he doesn't handle being down with little time left on the clock better than he did vs the Giants I agree.

I don't hve a problem with him taking that trip with JS to Cancun, Phillips told him to get away from football for a few days, and he did :thumbsup2:

I heard on SC yesterday (Greeny) that TO was the one that bought Romo and JS the tickets to MX??? It was sort of an appology for what he said about them a few weeks earlier when they lost that game.

Thats why he was crying saying "its not fair"! He knew that it would get back to him buying the ticket and he was covering his own butt! ... maybe

Either that or he knows he played just as crappy as everyone else so he really cannot blame anyone. He had some leverage after Super Bowl a couple of years ago since he had a big game.

I kind of wonder how his mood would have been had he caught six or seven passes and scored a couple of TDs.

if TO would man up and stretch out for a few passes from time to time Dallas may have stood a chance. There were so many balls that he could have caught but he was afraid of getting hit.

Is Romo overrated? Well where do you place him in amongst QBs in the NFL, top 3, top 5, top 10? If you rate him along side Manning, Favre and Brady, he's overrated. If you rate him along side Big Ben, McNabb, Hasselbeck, Brees, Garrard and Palmer he fits right in. He's not a top three QB, but I never thought he was, so I'd say not overrated.

How does he fit along side Ben, McNabb, Hasselbeck, Brees, Garrard and Palmer?? Thats crazy! Last time I checked Romo hasn't even won a playoff game??
Ben won a SB, McNabb and Hasselbeck have both won an NFC title. Brees has been to the NFC Champ game, Palmer has won a playoff game (and prob would have gone firther that year had he not been injured IMO). Garrard won a playoff game in his first year as a starter.
Romo ranks up there with QB's like Lossman, Anderson, and Collins...

But isn't whether he is overrated or not contingent upon what the public/media as a whole thinks of him and not just your opinion of him?

That is a bit harsh. I say he is overrated simply because the talking heads, guys like Al Micheals, and ESPN are telling us he is an elite QB but he is not quite there just yet. His numbers are close to being there but until he delivers big time wins for the Cowboys he is a second tier QB.

Since when is a player's entire career determined solely by the playoffs. I know it helps with their immortality, but I don't think many QBs playing now will have that status besides Favre and Brady (maybe Manning).
I understand Romo hasn't won a playoff game, but he's still a good quarterback.
Let me put it this way. Boston_aloha and doublee, if they were all free agents asking the same money, would you take all of those QBs: Big Ben, McNabb, Hasselbeck, Brees, Garrard, and Palmer over Tony Romo? I wouldn't, not all of them.

I know I'm being a bit harsh, but I just think its rediculous to compare him to those QB's when all Romo has done in the playoffs is choke.

And to answer your question, I'd take Palmer over all those QB's ANYDAY!!

If I had to rank those QB's... I'd go
Palmer (#1)
Brees
Garrard
Hasselbeck
McNabb
Ben
Romo

I am not saying he is an awful QB, just that he does not in the same class as guys like Brady, Favre, Manning, etc. until he wins in the playoffs. I am saying he is not an elite QB. Honestly, what difference does it make if he puts up good numbers every year but falls apart in the playoffs like he did this past week. There is a reason guys like Trent Dilfer and Steve DeBerg have long careers.

A player's entire career is not determined by the playoffs but when you compare guys in the end those with a ring get the nod over those who don't. Dan Marino always gets pushed own the list because he never won a Super Bowl.
