Marc will become famous soon enough
Default MNF booth: Yay or nay?

Tirico, Theismann, Kornheiser. What do you think? Here's one take: https://www.sports-central.org/sport..._apologist.php

Personally, I'm a little concerned about Tony. He admittingly doesn't know all the players or technicalities (once asking Joe what a silent count was on air) and kind of seems out of place. I think the key to this will be rather Joe and Tony can mesh. Tony makes sarcastic comments, and Joe seems to act above it. Lighten up, Theismann! Another thing I notice is Kornheiser seems to be surrendering to his boothmates since they are more experienced, i.e. he often asks Joe opinion questions rather than giving his own.

I don't know ... Tony, you were better just arguing on PTI!

I haven't watched a monday night crew game yet, but I personally don't like Tirico, but I cannot put my finger on why? Thiesman is annoying as hell and Kornheiser is great on PTI, but I'm waiting to see how he plays out in the booth. It cannot be as bad as the Dennis Miller experiement, can it?

The Kornholer, Theismann combo is atrocious. I think I'll make a point of watching more Sunday night telecasts, if only for Al Michaels.

I'll have the games on mute while listening to music.

I don't think he has been doing terrible, but I haven't watched much of the games either. I'll start watching the entire telecast when the games become important. But I already know I don't like Theisman. He has ALWAYS been horrible. How he got this job is beyod me. People talk about how bad Mcguire was when he telecast w/ESPN, but i seem to remember when he did games on CBS that I like him calling games. But that could also be b/c I was young and stupid at the time.

I am not ready to jump ship just yet. Kornheiser has been okay, I like Tirico alright, but Thiesmann I have never liked. How he was the only holdover from the Sunday Night crew is beyond me. I am not a huge Maguire fan, but, I like him a lot better than I ever like Theismann and Mike Patrick is okay.

This dude who used to work with me at the last job I had before my current one does exactly that when watching any football game!

Takes all kinds, I suppose ...

I have to give Kornheiser some credit, he is obviously doing his homework and boning up on his football knowledge.

As for the basic questions he lobs out, such as the silent count one, I have to think he is being coached to do so to a degree.

I think the problem comes down to Theismann and Kornheiser. If they don't work, it won't work. Mainly, I'm not sure Theismann will give Kornheiser's attempts at humor the time of day. Still hoping it gets better...

Last night was the first preseason game I actually sat down and watched for more than 20 minutes, and I sensed Kornheiser's apprehensiveness immediately. But I will have a wait and see attitude....

I actually thought Kornheiser did a good job last night. As doublee said, he apparently did his homework for the game, and he sounded much better than previous weeks.
