Default What percentage of people...

First up...

What percentage of people believe the 1969 moon landing was staged?

According to a 1999 poll conducted by the The Gallup Organization, what Gallup termed an "overwhelming majority" of the US public, some 89 percent, did not believe the landing was faked, while 6 percent did. What percentage were undecided is unknown.

Answer: 6%

Where are you on this one?

I saw it live back in 1969. It was real as for as I know.

I'm not big into conspiracy theories. It was real. What's unfortunate is we haven't made much progress since then. We're still doing the same stuff we did in '69 now ... you would have thought we'd have hotels on Mars by now.

It was a crushing blow when they said the world was round. I remember that day too Tark.

So...a few believers out there huh? Ok...next question...

What percentage of people wash their hands after using the bathroom?

Most people say they wash their hands after using the bathroom. But a new study suggests that many of them are not telling the truth.

The researchers demonstrated that people were not as conscientious as they say they were by comparing answers given in a telephone poll to observed behavior.

In the nationwide poll, conducted from Aug. 19 to Aug. 22 by Harris Interactive, 1,013 adults were interviewed about their hand washing habits. Then observers were sent into public restrooms to see what actually happened.

91% of adults claimed in the poll that they washed their hands after using a public restroom. But of the 6,336 adults whose behavior was observed, only 82% percent actually did so.

Women, the study found, were more diligent than men: 90 percent washed their hands, compared with only 75 percent of the men.

There ya have it folks. 82% of people wash their hands after handlin' their bizness. Women wash more than men.

Still, that gives us 18% who don't wash.

Think of that number the next time you're in this situation...

I do most of the time, but I will admit that sometimes when I am at home I don't.

What percentage of people are left-handed?

Most humans (say 70 percent to 95 percent) are right-handed, a minority (say 5% to 30%) are left-handed, and an indeterminate number of people are probably best described as ambidextrous

5% to 30% is a pretty wide margin. Anyway, they are still in the minority. I don't think they should be allowed to vote. Privileged bastards tryin' to be different.

Billy Corgan

Jimi Hendrix

Robert Plant

John Lydon a.k.a. Johnny Rotten

Kurt Cobain

I'm down with 'em. This list is awesome.

Eddie's a righty. Cut him some slack though Tark. He loves your Cubbies.
