Answer to Lee: EVERYTHING. Hockey sucks! And that's the truth.

Well, there is ONE thing that doesn't beat the NHL playoffs: The Masters. Golf sucks more than hockey!

I'm looking forward to the NHL playoffs. I want either the Boston Bruins to win it or the Colorado Avalanche. One more-Phildelphia Flyers.

Philly??? Unfortunately, they play my Sens and I think they'll get SPANKED by the Flyers.

Nevertheless, I think the Cup is comming HOME to CANADA, where it belongs -- Leafs look like "our" strongest hope... yes, that's not very Canadian (to speak of Toronto and the Leafs as "we" but.... I'm desparate for seeing a home win)

How about an opening day shutout, 2 homeruns from Barry Bonds, and hearing the words, "Play Ball!" once again? Yes, I think those are some examples.

No.... an example would be the fastest, hardest-hitting hockey with the most spectacular offensive stradegies countered by unbelieveable goaltending

There are strategies in hockey? I thought they just skated aimlesly trying to get the puck in the net.

OK, its not that bad, at least its not basketball.

Ouch, well you want to know how that one run was scored in the brilliantly pitched shutout?

It was a bunt single by the leadoff hitter in the first inning. He proceeded to steal second after an unsucessful pitchout. The #2 guy hit and run to get the runner over to third. And the next batter placed a beautiful suicide squeeze to get the runner home. Beautiful, makes me want to cry. :el::whine:

not quite sure what shutout you are talking about

Im actually just joking bout hockey...Though I dont follow the sport, its not a bad sport..although, it doesnt seem to take the skill of, say, football. I can watch it if Im really bored and nothing else is on, which is more then I can say about basketball.

Geese, what's so bad about basketball? It's my real passion, both playing and watching. I've loved it from the day I was born.

WHAT!?????? Hockey requires thee MOST skill and athletism of ANY professional team sport.

Have you ever TRIED ice skating!? By your statement, I assume NOT.

Hockey combines the aggressiveness of football, the grace of baseball, the insensity of basketball, and the speed of auto racing. On top of that, hadling a 3-inch wide-by-1-inch thick puck while moving on a near fictionless ice surface and see how easy it is.

What am I missing that makes the NHL so popular. Some reason, I just don't like it. Any clues from you guys who like NHL?
