Default 5 Most Disappointing teams

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7529238

Saints
Bears
Ravens
Bengals
Eagles

(in any order)

Would you add/subtract any teams from that list?

Saints and Bears for sure - they were both in the NCF Champ game last season.

Ravens - ok... they were 13-3 last year... but honestly, did anyone expect them to do better? McNair is so washed up.

Bengals I definitly expected more from.

Eagles??? Are you serious? Did anyone pick them to win more than 7 or 8 games?

I'd say the Eagles are to a degree though I don't know that they belong in the top 5. Boston, I did see where some experts had the Eagles in the playoffs this year but the general consensus was they were going to fall in the 7 to 9 win range. Their inclusion on this list probably lies in the fact that they showed they can compete with the big boys against New England.

However, I'd say the Jets, Panthers, Broncos and Chargers belong in the discussion and possibly the Redskins as well.

Dbl... yeah, now that you mention it - I wanna say one of the ESPN analyists had them winning the NFC (or at least in the Champ game).

I guess there are ways to interpret this list... I mean, honestly - one could say Miami just for the simple fact that none of us prob had them at 0-12 right now (even though we all knew they would not win more than 3-4 games)
Agree on Chargers & Broncos. I expected more out of them...

San Diego... kinda, but it's hard to call a team who is winning their division a "disappointment," but your point is well taken.

Panthers always disappoint, so it's no longer a disappointment

Not when they have gone from being arguably the best team in the league last year to barely struggling to stay above .500 this year. They have gone from the league's elite to being another mediocre middle of the pack team this year. The only reason they are in first to begin with is because they play in the weakest division in football right now.

Touche, but I wouldn't put them in the top 5.

Meh, maybe not top 5 but I think they definitely belong in the discussion though.

No doubt. How much blame would you place on coaching?

Quite a bit of it. Teams at the top don't typically go through an offseason like the Chargers did. You usually only have that kind of turnover at the top when teams are losing and it is time to change leadership so we always expect those teams to flounder for two or three more years because they were not any good to begin with. When teams win 14 games and don't get to the Super Bowl they usually assess the team and tweak a few things here and they are not out looking to hire a new head coach and 4 or 5 new assistants.

Yeah, that's a huge turn around for a team. They have enough talent to stick around. Who knows, anything can happen in the playoffs...

St. Lousi and San Fran have to be mentioned I thought they were going to challenge Seatlle and they have done nothing.
