Cool. I hope the Rangers get some young talent, they have so many veterans.

Thumbs up

Thank you Peck. I've sent a letter to Burke (he doesn't like me much, and will like me even less when he reads my letter). Cloutier? Burke has lost his mind. Aucoin was a fovourite here, the last of an era, so to speak. He didn't want to go either. But, good luck to him.

What?.. do you have letter relationship with him!?... does he actually read and respond!?

I guess I wouldn't doubt it if he did... I don't imagine the GMs get as much "fan mail" (okay, okay -- "hate mail"!) as the players.

Yes, Lee, Brian, uh, excuse me, Mr. Burke, and I have had our moment. To make things even more interesting, he even called me at home!! How does that grab ya? However, he now, more or less, ignores me. I'm a pain in the a.., and he doesn't need any more of those than he already has. I do, however, say good things about his team, as well. These things are directed to the Hockey Club itself, and I always get a response. My latest missive to 'The Man' was sent late last week, and I haven't heard anything yet and I may never, although my latest complaint does have its merits.

Always consider, my friend, that the Mr. Burke's of the world, are people, like you and me, with a bit more fame and $$. They have the same bad habits and 'ordinary' habits, that we all do. As do the Mr. Gretzky, Messier, Lamieux, Roy, Peca, Hull, Lindros, ad infinidum. We are all people. NEVER forget that.

Xtreme hockey? I sincerely hope not. The XFL is a loser, and probably will continue to be as long as it is promoted in its present form. The idea is good, but we have to get past the sexual exploitation of the game. Football is a great game, the once favourite of mine (especially having personally known some of the players). The XFL has degraded the game to the extent of WRESTLING. :p

The above are solely my opinions, and not those of the founder's of the board.

What does everyone think of today's deals!?... Express some of the good ones and bad ones. I'll post mine later, but the thing I noticed is that nearly all playoff-bound teams focused on defense (Ottawa, Toronto, Pittsburgh, etc.), while getting these players in exchange for draft picks.
