WOW Perriloux went to LSU. I thought for sure he was going to stay true on his verbal for the Longhorns. Les Miles must be a better coach than I was thinking.

Penn State landed 4* linebacker Jerome Hayes out of Bayonne, NJ today. That also resulted in the not-so-surprising de-commit of Philly 2* linebacker Steve Quinn to ND.

PSU has received LOI's from every recruit except prep star QB Daryl Clark, who originally commited to Penn State last year.

Hey FSUViking,

Where's Ashley going? Yep, USC. Congrats on the Ashley and the recruit USC class, 47.

Jerome Hayes, Derrick Williams, Justin King.........those are 3 studs there.

I wish SC had gotten King, but we never really had a shot with him.

Don't forget about another stud from California, Lydell Sargeant. He was originally a three star and committed to Penn State right after Justin King (the two are friends, Sargeant spent his freshman year at Gateway High with King). He tore it up in the CaliFlorida All Star Game and was MVP, soon after bumped up to four stars.

Its only natural, if your first name is LYDELL, you have to go to Penn State............lol.

In honor of the great PSU grad Lydell Mitchell of course!

As i'm typing this they are announcing on the SC site that DeSean Jackson is going to SC........WOW.

Fight On!

Nope Alex.

He was at SC for there NC celebration, but it was still in the minds of many that because we already had a commit from Patrick Turner, Jackson may go elsewhere.

He didnt and I'm happy about it. His performance in the ARMY AS game was great and I really wanted him.

Fight On!

Could've sworn Rivals had him listed at as a USC committ at one point, must've been someone else.

Another PSU note, 4* WR Todd Nolen from Hampton, VA will be visiting Penn State this weekend. He was unable to make it during the week last week and took an official to Virginia Tech. Obviously he has serious interest in PSU if he is willing to take an official visit after Signing Day.

Best of luck to Jackson, I hope for the best for him!

Yeah, Ashley went to USC. But after his visit to the U on Friday, he told the Gopher coaches and his parents he was probably going to sign with the gophers and stay home.

Obviously, something happened between Friday and Wednesday. He's going to be on KFAN tomorrow morning to tell why he chose USC.

So, it wasn't quite the slam dunk some might think it was.

But, I'm lovin FSU class. #4 in the country, in most rankings. Antone Smith picking us over Miami, Rouse staying home, lots of blue chippers on defense.

Can't wait for next year.

He was on this morning, and what a class act he is. Doesn't sound like a typical dumbass jock, but very articulate, humble, and down to earth. Besides a good football player, USC is getting a heck of a kid.

- Said it was hard to say "No" to JoePa.

- Went to bed Tuesday night still undecided between Minnesota and USC.

- Said his dads relationship with Coach Carroll was key. (Dad Vikings LB...Carroll Vikings DB Coach...under Jerry Burns in the early 90's.)

- Liked that he could have made an impact at either school, but he was the only DT that USC brought in, after losing Cody and the other starter.

- Mom wanted him to stay home.

- Called a very disappointed Glen Mason Wednesday morning to tell him he was choosing USC.

- Said Dominique Byrd (Breck H.S., Minneapolis) helped recruit him out there as well.

Congrats USC. Ashley is a great kid. You got more than just a rock star football player!

He was there only HS DT they brought in. But they did get the #1 rated JC DT, Gabe Long(6-4 285), who is rated as a 5 star prospect and clocked a 4.76 40............thats moving for a DT.

I dont see Ashley playing his first year, unless he is even better then rated by the services out there, but PC does give all freshmen and equal shot with the VETS, so we will see.

With Manny Wright returning at one DT spot and with Sedrick Ellis and Lajuan Ramsey, both guys who were in the rotation last year and with the return of last springs standout DT Fili Moala, we just need someone to add depth here.

Fight On!
