Question Will The NHL Ever Abolish The "Loser's Point"?

The whole idea of giving the loser of an overtime game one point in the standings just seems so lame to me.

How does everyone else here feel?

I agree, it should be just a W or a L just like every other sport that matters to us Americans!

The idea of 3 points for a win and one point for a tie or OT loss in general is retarded to me. Why not just have Wins and Losses, and the highest winning PCT is the team that goes to the playoffs. Ties are just that Ties and should not result in points, nor should losses in any form!
