Default Trotter ejected pregame in Atlanta

Things are getting wild in the A-T-L pregame. Eagles linebacker Jeremiah Trotter walked over to Falcons nickel back Kevin Mathis and they started grabbing each others face mask. Both got tossed. The refs claim punches were thrown, but it didn't appear like that happened. Either way, they're gone.

THEN, both teams started bouncin' up and down on the midfield logo.

Pretty lame ejections, but damn, both teams are FIRED up. Should be a good one.

Vick ran off the field scared, too. (DAMN RIGHT I SPUN THAT. GO BIRDS....ERRR....clean BIRDS)

Vick is proving he is a smart guy.

As if the ejections weren't enough to fire them up. The jumping up and down shouting at each other will really get them going. This game will be fantastic. Vick, show your worthyness. TO, get me some fantasy points, this will become a great rivalry... if its a good game.

Predictions: Terrel Owens and Mike Vick will both have the games of their life.

Great throw by Vick to Jenkins down to the one to set up the second Falcons score. More throws like that will shut up his critics. That thing was beautiful.

This is bad news for those of us not in the Eagles' camp or a Vick supporter.

Eagles win: T.O. and McNabb lovefest on ESPN for the next week.

Falcons win: time to officially take Jesus down from the cross and put up Vick.

Any way you slice it, it's going to be a long week for the rest of us.

Jeebus, so much for Vick having the game of his life. A crucial fumble in the red zone, when Atl coulda kicked a FG to go up by 10. Defense has been stellar for the foulcons tonight, but thy can only hold so long. Iggles driving right now.

78, i don't know how anyone can praise Vick tonight, even w/a victory. He is trying to give this game away, turning the ball over 3 times while Atl has been deep into a drive,

I'm pretty hard on Vick. He is playing arguably the best D in the NFL ( I don't know the numbers, but I think we can all agree they are up there). Still, that excuse is only good for so long.

Ummm...timeout before snap? WTF?

why do they put the two best NFC teams against each other in week one? he get a sloppy game filled w/ turnovers from both sides. too many jitters. only thing was was worse then this was miami at florida state.

vick is showing signs of being the QB i've been saying he can be. if only one of his wideouts would finally emerge...

mcnabb came back from a lot a nasty helmet into his chest. he needed to run the ball some since westbrook could not.

TO was shutout because the eagles have no running game to speak of and could not setup the pass. play action was totally worthless.

eagles failed to fix the running game issue from last year and it cost them. trotter getting tossed over a silly pregame shoving match certainly hurt just as much on the other side of the ball.

good motivation for the falcons. eagles can easily bounch back since trotter will be back. but a 50 yard running game is not going to get you very far.

overall the game was a dud. only 3 second half points. 2 fumbles, 1 int for each QB.

Or the bonehead official that for some reason decided that ejecting the two of them was the right thing to do.

To anyone who thinks that pre-game incident wasn't planned and premeditated: I hope you never get that e-mail from that dude who claims to be from Africa and wants you to become his business partner - because you'll probably fall for it hook, line and sinker and send him all your money.

And I really hope NHL officials, owners etc. were watching what happened, since if they were, they won't even consider making hockey fights punishable by automatic ejection as some have proposed; because if they did, there would be a constant wave of episodes where some no-talent goon picks a fight with the other team's star player just to get him thrown out of the game.
