Default Republican Politician, McCain Supporter, Speaks to Nazis

A congressional candidate is defending his speech to a group celebrating the anniversary of Adolf Hitler’s birth, saying he appeared simply because he was asked.

Tony Zirkle, who is seeking the Republican nomination in Indiana’s 2nd District, stood in front of a painting of Hitler, next to people wearing swastika armbands and with a swastika flag in the background for the speech to the American National Socialist Workers Party in Chicago.

“I’ll speak before any group that invites me,” Zirkle said Monday. “I’ve spoken on an African-American radio station in Atlanta.”

So this is like McCain's Reverend Wright. I get it. Wonder if it'll get the same media coverage.

This is nothing like Reverand Wright, Marc. This man is not a Pastor that McCain has "idolized" for 20 years.
This is akin to a militant Black that supports Obama or a feminist that supports Hillary. It is a non-issue. Would I support this man? Likely not.

I still don't understand what was so bad about Reverend Wright's comments. They seemed like perfectly valid arguments that were just worded a bit harsh when taken out of context.

This issue just shows us that part of being a true political partisan in this or probably any country is a REQUIREMENT that you be intellectually dishonest with yourself.

If you are an R, then you lambast the D's for certain things, then when your guy does it its somehow okay and VICE VERSA. PERIOD. Pure intellectual dishonesty. Any fact can be manipulated, twisted, rationalized IF YOU REALLY WANT THEM TO BE. People reach a conclusion, and then any evidence is twisted to support that conclusion no matter what.

I had no problem with the comments Rob. The problem I had was that Obama pretended not to know that Wright had said them or what kind of person he was.

If he had said he knew Wright was that way...I would have respected Obama. If he actually agreed with some of...if not all the statements...I would have respected his actual stance.

As it stands, he's just a coward like the rest of them.
