Default Law school

Been pretty miserable working in sales after I graduated college in '08. So I'm strongly considering law school. Just what the world needs, another lawyer, right?

Yep. Everyone should own 2 or 3. And with the fees we pay lawyers, perhaps we do.

Can't say I'd recommend it, Marc.

Law school is a VERY expensive proposition.
It has a VERY high failure rate.

Even those who make it through face no guarantee of the sort of income they thought they might make - and they are left, in most cases, with a heavy student loan payoff burden.

I think it's a poor idea.
But that's just me - and I'm just Jack Knoff, so take it for what it's worth to ya.

Not sure if this is still something you want advice on, but, I came across it when clicking around...

I would definitely recommend it if you know what type of law you want to do. I'm not saying I wouldn't recommend it otherwise, but, it's not exactly the slam dunk money wise it's made out to be. Employment seems to be slow everywhere law wise.

If you're going to law school merely to set yourself up employment wise, it might be better to take the LSAT, and see where you'd be in terms of applying to schools. It's an easier question to answer if you'd be attending a top school.

Hey Doug, surprised to see you re-appear out of the blue. Welcome back.

I bought some LSAT books, but decided to not go that route. I believe you need to be passionate about it, and it has never been my real passion. I am happy in the recruiting/staffing field and am building a career there.

Drop back in here and see that... mush (over 8,000 posts) was banned.
And a thread locked.

LOL

Marc...

Nevermind.

Oh, law school.

Still a very stupid idea.

Unless you count on the gov stepping in and forgiving your student loan debt.
Bless their heart.
