I'll take Cassel over Plummer anyday. I think Cassel may be alright - there has be a reason BB has not cut him right? Pats will just have to go back to screens, checkdowns, hard running from Maroney and Smith if they wanna win some games. It may be the 2001 season all over again... one can only hope!

But would everybody stick eight and nine guys in the box if Plummer were there?

For this reason, if I had Maroney on a fantasy team I'd unload him.

Well whatever... at least the games will not be blowouts this year. The Jets game is on out here tonight so I get to watch and see for myself.

But as for the Patriots... they are not anything stellar anymore...

"And that's the hardest part. Today everything is different; there's no blowouts... have to grind it out like everyone else. They're an average nobody team... get to play the rest of the season like a schnook team."

Pats beat the Jets, Cassel is solid, but unspectacular. If he can be a game manager, the Pats can still contend. And I was somewhat happy to see Favre make a stupid INT, trademark Favre, in the Jets' loss. Meanwhile, Rodgers was solid without any dumb plays and the Packers win.

What did they score - one touchdown?

Big deal - and no way do they get to the conference championship game, which will make them the 15th consecutive SB loser not to have done so the following season.

Well what did you expect Anthony? Their QB hasn't started a game since 1999??? They did what they wanted to do - Win.

Last year was about destroying other teams... this year is about winning 1 point at a time. Sorry man, but if you are looking for those high-explosive Patriots' games you're not gonna get 'em this year.

Just curious... out of the 42 Superbowl losers... how many made it to the conference game the next year?
