Exclamation Carter injures quad in loss to Rockets

Quote:
Carter injures quad in loss to Rockets

Associated Press

HOUSTON -- Toronto Raptors star Vince Carter reinjured his surgically repaired knee and left Saturday night's game against the Houston Rockets in the first quarter.

Carter, who had season-ending surgery on his left knee last March, collapsed in pain at 6:17 of the first quarter. He was helped to the locker room with ice wrapped around his knee.

Without their best weapon, the Raptors struggled on offense and lost to the Rockets 88-76.

"No dumb questions because I'm not answering them," Carter said afterward. "I just don't know. It really hurts. This is three years in a row and it gets very frustrating and it gets very tough."

Carter sustained a quadriceps tendon strain and was listed as day-to-day. He will be re-examined in Toronto on Monday.

"I was running down the court and I just couldn't go," Carter said. "It is about the same as last year. We'll see after the MRI (Monday). I have to figure a way to get back. I knew when it happened what it was. It's not a good feeling at all."
It's the worst nightmare for Vince and the Raptors...

You forgot to mention Antonio Davis suffered a strained muscle also

We can't get this injury bug to go away.

And boy, does he looked pissed. You could just see he couldn't believe he was going through this again when he was first injured.

Yes, He looked very frustrated as anyone would be with this. We could make a injured roster list.

Carter - gone 4 weeks
Davis - gone for a couple more games
McCoy - gone with a back injury
Montross - out for a couple more weeks
Olajuwon - retired from injury.

Averaging 3 or 4 games a week, that is over 105 games lost to injury.

Anyone hear about Vince Carter going to a Nelly concert and actually dancing for 20 minutes on the stage while his poor Raptors were losing on the road to Atlanta? This has caused some controversy and as Tim Hardaway on ESPN said it, if you are his teammate, that's something you want to confront him about. If he can dance for 20 minutes, he ought to be playing for 20 minutes.

dancing for 20mins is no where near playing ball for 20mins. if they would have saw the way he was dancing, they wouldnt have said "oh he should be playing those 20mins instead of dancing those 20mins" , it wasnt like he was in a mosh pit or anything to that nature..., they need to stop hating on my boy

It's not meant to be taken literally, but more of the bad message it sends. Exactly, #47.
