Default The best move in 43 years

The Mets hire Willie.

This is the best move they have made ever.

Congrats Mets fans, you're getting a good man. Willie has been a tremendous third base and bench coach for the Yankees over the last decade of success. Hopefully Willie can do better than Lee Mazzilli and Baltimore this past season.

I think the best move the Mets ever made was to fire Bobby Valentine, but that's just my opinion. Willie Randolph has no experience as a field manager, but is a good student of the game and has had some excellent teachers. Plus, Yogi is still around and Willie can pick his brain a bit if needed.

It's one move that has actually made sense over the last few years.

The Mo Vaughn trade
The VIctor Zambrano-Scott Kazmir Trade

Just two good examples of the ineptness of the Mets organzition. By far, the worst run team in the majors.
