icas -- Ya, CBC did that for the first few Canadian games and joined play "in progress" after commercials but they threw out commercials all together after Canada's 2nd game.

I like J.D. so I think I'm gonna watch maybe the second period on NBC today... how much of that 2nd period will depend on if NBC desides to scrap commercials or not 'cuz if they don't... I'm gonna switch back to the Canadian feed

I might not have been thinking straight yesterday 'cuz I was tired but after a sleep, I still think it'll be 5-3 for Canada  -- 5.5 hours 'till puck drop.

The game starts at 1 Mountain... that's 12 Pacific time, not 10:30. NBC is slated to end their bball at 11:30 Pacific, start hockey pregame at 11:30, and the game at 12:00.... at least, that's what my satellite's on-screen guide says.

THIRTY-FIVE MINUTES 'TILL FACE-OFF!!!!!!!!!!!

hehe, ya -- I watch live luge or skiing at 11 AM on CBC, and then tune into NBC for a few minutes at 9 PM only to see the same race while the CBC is back to live coverage of events taking place live at night!!!.... Very, very strange -- I thought having Olympics in the States would PREVENT taped coverage on NBC!

Anyways -- nope, NBC didn't cut out commercials for today's game either, so I'm back to watching the Canadian broadcast and the puck's about to drop for period 3 so here I go -- 3-2 and only 20 minutes left.

Well, well, well... Mister "Mircale" Brooks -- what can I say? After your practice which was closed to the media yesterday, you said that Canada's "dump & chase" offense was "stupid."

Look who has the Gold Medal, eh!!?????

That's right -- they can put our flag on the floor of their dressing room (ie: USA Women's Hockey Team)... they can call our offensive system "stupid" (ie: USA Men's Hockey Team)... they can use American officials to try and bring us down (ie: USA Women's Hockey Team), but we're the best hockey country in the world. Period.

One more thing? -- did I not call it a 5-3 Canada win?... hey, the final score was 5-2 but I was pretty damn close!

Any questions? I didn't think so.

He had a pretty good game - if you discount the rash of late goals Canada scored. The effort was certainly there - the U.S. was just overmanned with the Fwd.'s getting killed with lack of quickness. Too many shots on goal.

As Gretzky said -- the save by Brodeur on Hull at 15:15 of the 2nd period was key and probably the turning point. -- that kick save was amazing.

I don't know if Richter is to blame -- USA gave up too many turnovers late in the game which costed them. Canada had the better team and a better system... yip, a system that works to win games is sure "stupid."
