The franchise in Danbury is a joke and gives the UHL a bad image since, unfortunately, it's the only one that ever seems to make any sort of national news. I go to Bridgeport when the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins come to town. The arena is a completely sterile environment unless the Sound Tigers are playing the rival Hartford Wolfpack. For a play off game last season, there were more WBS fans than Tigers fans at the game. That there pretty much sums up the support of professional sports in Connecticut. There is such great support for UConn and major professional sports and then a very steady decline for the minor leagues.
