Question 2005/06 schedule

Anyone know when this is released?. I have a friend coming into town in early august and I was hoping to take him to maybe a preseason game if the Cards have one scheduled. I also heard the Skins are playing the Cards next year, which will be a must have ticket if it's a home game.

I think it usually gets released sometime in January or early February. Out of curiosity why would the 'Skins be a must have ticket next year?

The way the NFL schedule works now, there are only 2 games that are decided purely on last year's record, as every team plays every other team from one in-conference division, as well as every team from a non-conference division.

Next year, this is the way it breaks down:
AFC East vs. AFC West
AFC North vs. AFC South
NFC East vs. NFC West
NFC North vs. NFC South

NFC East vs. AFC West
NFC South vs. AFC East
NFC North vs. AFC North
NFC West vs. AFC South

So yes, your Skins will be playing the Cards next year, but it is not determined until the schedule comes out in the spring whether that will be a home game or not.

Er...because I'm a fan and I happen to live in Arizona where they might be playing

Who plays who - and where - will be known for all 32 teams as soon as Sunday night's Dallas-N.Y. Giants game is over. Indeed, 14 of every team's 16 games are known already; in the spring of 2002 the owners pre-determined 14 out of 16 games for the next eight years, beginning with the 2002 season and the realignment that took effect in that year.

The actual dates of the games are typically announced sometime during the first two weeks in April.

So Anthony, are the two other games determined by the in-division place of a team in correspondence to the two in-conference divisions that they are not playing?

For example, since my Broncos will finish 2nd in the AFC West, they would play the second place team in the AFC North and AFC South (Baltimore and Jacksonville, I guess).

Yes, that's how it's done; however, if the Jaguars lose to Oakland and the Texans beat Cleveland, Houston will finish second in the AFC South on the grounds that they beat Jacksonville twice.

As of right now you can figure out your teams schedules you're playing the NFC East, except the Eagles

Pimp: Go here.

Scroll to Arizona, and you'll find that the 'Skins do indeed travel to the desert next season. As Anthony noted, the actual dates don't get released till April, a week or two before the draft, which means tickets for individual games won't sell before then... Still, it's Arizona. You can buy home game tickets day of, right?
