Default Bob Knight to do color commentary...

His first game will be a 2K Sports Classic semifinal next Thursday on ESPN. He'll continue to do studio work as an analyst for ESPN as well.

Good move? Only a matter of time before he says something politically incorrect IMO. Can't wait...LOL.

He's knowledgeable and entertaining, I look forward to seeing if he's any good.

Now I keep seeing Knight in a little home movie theater room it looks like, just chillin' and analyzing hoops. I think this is a cool feature on ESPN. Anyone else like it?

Maybe not for long...

Knight apparently interested in the "right job." Several openings out there, like Georgia in the SEC. Coaching is in his blood and I think he'll keep doing it while he still has his health. Where do you think he'll end up: sidelines or TV studio?

He will get back into coaching if and when the right opportunity pops up.

68-years old leaves Knight with plenty of time still left to coach, and personally I miss seeing the guy coaching. He never seemed like he enjoyed his time at Texas Tech, so I don't see him jumping back into the coaching ranks unless its a job that will guarantee him some success.

As well as I think it has to be at a name school where he will have the resources to build a winning team within a couple of years. I don't see him jumping at the chance to coach ECU or Indiana State any time soon regardless of how much they kiss his butt or how much cash they throw his way.

For all your vivid descriptions (which I agree with) I would suppose most at Indiana would like a do-over with him. At least with him they were winning and not on probation.

True, but they will be better in the long-run with Tom Crean. He's an excellent coach who's got nothing to work with now. It takes time.

I think think they will be just fine in the long run as well. Crean is basically starting from scratch after inheriting no talent and having to kick some guys off of the team.

Default Knight size

Mr. Knight is just laughing all the way to the bank. He gets a job regardless of what he does. He gets away with pretty much anything, and then gets another FREAKING JOB!!!! I hate it that he is now on ESPN, I wish that he would just go away.

You can't deny he has tons of knowledge and is pretty good to watch as a commentator. I hope he stays there.

I know he does, and he knows that he does as well. His ego is so large that he thinks that he is in the right whenever he has an outburst and he is able to justify his own actions to himself. He is entertaining and full of basketball knowledge, that I cannot deny. I just don't like all the bs that goes along with it. Whatever happened to coaches with class, they spoke out when it was appropriate and stood their ground. I just have to call him on bs, that's all. He does have good qualities such as making sure that his athlete's stay in school and graduate, charities, etc. It still does not give him the right to justify his actions every time that he throws a fit. He can be fun to watch though, you are right about that.
